(numb(er)ing)

One, two,
I ate some glue.
I started to see things and then I saw you.

Three, four,
I ate some more.
I could not believe what my eyes did report.

Five, six,
I tried all the tricks.
I felt like oil when with water it`s mixed.

Seven, eight,
I stayed up late.
I listened to everything you had to state.

Nine, ten,
I did it again.
I did it again and again and again.

Eleven, twelve,
I got stuck on the shelf.
I could not blame you, only myself.
